Alia Rifai studeerde in 2023 af als speler/maker aan het RITCS in Brussel. In haar werk onderzoekt ze taal en preverbale communicatie vanuit een fysieke en clowneske speelstijl, met een bijzondere aandacht voor de relatie tussen speler en toeschouwer. Ze was te zien in onder meer Primo Volo (Theater Aan Zee), Baked Beans en Code Heart. In het voorjaar van 2026 speelt ze in Under Your Spell van Audrey Apers.
Ivan Kevork Azazian is maker en performer, opgeleid aan het RITCS in Brussel. Zijn werk beweegt zich tussen theater, muziek en storytelling, met een sterke focus op ritme, sfeer en verbeelding. Aan het RITCS creëerde en regisseerde hij The Holy Womb. Momenteel ontwikkelt hij samen met Alia Rifai een nieuwe voorstelling.

My Father Gave Me His hands
Raised between Jordan and Belgium, Alia Rifai carries two nationalities, and a lasting sense of being out of place. After the loss of her father, she searches for connection in what remains: familiar gestures, fragments of language, shared memories, and traces of a home that feels at once deeply familiar and painfully distant.
Through images, projections and live music, Alia reconstructs her reality, allowing remembering to become an act of creation.
Language is both a bridge and a barrier, a constant friction against her sense of self. Always slightly out of step, unable to fully understand the language of her own country, she confronts the ways language shapes, and sometimes denies, our sense of belonging.
In collaboration with Palestinian musician and performer Ivan Kevork Azazian, My Father Gave Me His Hands reflects on grief, identity, heritage, and the quiet ways we carry those who are no longer here.
